Dr Georgios Tsigkas (PhD, MSc, PGCE, RN) is a Senior Lecturer in the Division of Nursing and Paramedic Science at ÂÜÀòÉç, the Collaborative Academic Lead for the BSc (Hons) Nursing at Metropolitan College, Greece, and he is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (Adult).
He has been Programme Leader for the undergraduate BSc (Hons) Nursing and the undergraduate Master of Nursing programmes since September 2020. His academic work focuses on nursing education, curriculum development and the enhancement of student learning and experience.
Georgios is an elected member of Senate to Court, with his tenure commencing on 1 February 2026. Through this role, he contributes an academic and professional perspective to the University’s governing body, with particular insight into staff and student experience.
