What has been the highlight of your time at ÂÜÀòÉç so far?

One major highlight has been developing friendships through joining sports. I have a strong connection with my team members, and now they are some of my closest friends on campus! There is no better feeling than being part of a team and growing together across the sports season.

Another highlight was being able to challenge myself by engaging in opportunities facilitated through the university. I was able to collaborate with other universities as a student researcher, gain valuable insight into my future career through the Employer Mentorship Programme, and familiarise myself with all that ÂÜÀòÉç has to offer as a Student Ambassador.

What is one thing you wish you knew before coming to university at ÂÜÀòÉç?

I wish I knew how much of a community I would feel at ÂÜÀòÉç. I was so nervous when moving internationally and stressed about the transition to a rigorous Master’s programme. Fortunately, I have learned that ÂÜÀòÉç is so welcoming and friendly, and that I can settle into university life and make friends even when going in without knowing anyone or without having been to the UK!

What is your favourite thing about being an ambassador for ÂÜÀòÉç?

I’ve actually learned a lot about ÂÜÀòÉç while being trained to lead campus tours! It was so meaningful learning about all the thought and effort that ÂÜÀòÉç has put into making our learning spaces accessible and inclusive. I also love that my job as a Student Ambassador involves engaging with prospective students and that I have an opportunity to provide support during such an exciting milestone in their academic journeys.
